Terms of Service

Effective September 28, 2026 · BroadBid · broadbid.com

1. The service

BroadBid is a live song-request tipping platform for bands, DJs, and karaoke hosts (“Performers”). Fans (“Tippers”) scan a Performer’s QR code, pick a song, and leave a tip to boost that song up the Performer’s live request board.

BroadBid is a software platform and payment facilitator. BroadBid is not a Performer, a talent agency, or a party to any agreement between a Tipper and a Performer.

2. Tips are final

All tips are voluntary, one-time payments and are final and non-refundable once submitted, except where required by law or in the case of a verified duplicate charge or technical error (see our Support page).

A tip boosts a song’s position on the live request board. It does not purchase a performance and does not guarantee that any song will be played. The Performer always controls the setlist and may decline, delay, or reorder any request at their sole discretion.

Tip amounts range from $1 to $2,500. Tips over $500 require an explicit confirmation before checkout and are equally final. Tippers may choose a quick amount, match the most recent tip, or enter a custom amount.

3. Fees and what the Performer receives

The Performer receives 100% of the tip amount. A BroadBid fee and a card processing fee are added on top of the tip and paid by the Tipper at checkout. The exact dollar amount of each fee is shown before a Tipper confirms payment.

Payments are processed by Stripe. By tipping, you agree to Stripe’s terms and authorize us to charge your selected payment method (card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay) for the total shown at checkout.

4. No accounts for Tippers

Tippers do not need a BroadBid account. A tip is completed as a guest checkout through Stripe. BroadBid does not store your card details; payment information is handled entirely by Stripe.

5. Performer accounts and payouts

Performers create a BroadBid account and connect a payout account through Stripe Express. To receive payouts, Performers must complete Stripe’s identity verification and provide accurate bank or debit card details.

Tips settle to the Performer’s connected Stripe account and pay out automatically on Stripe’s standard schedule (typically 1–2 business days in the United States).

Performers are independent businesses, not employees or agents of BroadBid. Performers are responsible for their own taxes, including any 1099-K reporting obligations, and for complying with music licensing requirements (e.g., ASCAP, BMI, SESAC) for their performances.

Disconnecting a payout account ends any live set and pauses new tips until a new payout account is connected.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the service for any unlawful purpose; submit false, misleading, or infringing song or Performer information; attempt to manipulate the request board through fraudulent payments or chargebacks; interfere with the service’s operation; or scrape or reverse-engineer the platform.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and we may cancel tips we reasonably believe to be fraudulent.

7. Chargebacks and disputes

If you believe a charge was made in error or without your authorization, contact us at support@broadbid.com before filing a dispute with your bank — we can resolve verified errors quickly.

Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in the associated requests being removed and, for Performers, may affect payout eligibility under Stripe’s dispute process.

8. Intellectual property

BroadBid, the BroadBid logo, and the platform’s design and software are owned by BroadBid. Performers retain ownership of their name, logo, and branding, and grant BroadBid a limited license to display them on their public page, QR materials, and stage display.

Song titles and artist names shown on the platform are used for identification only and remain the property of their respective rights holders.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we are not responsible for a Performer’s setlist decisions, performance quality, or event conduct.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BroadBid’s total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the greater of $100 or the platform fees BroadBid actually received from the transaction giving rise to the claim.

10. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
