Privacy Policy
Effective September 28, 2026 · BroadBid · broadbid.com
1. Overview
BroadBid (“we”, “us”) operates broadbid.com, a live song-request tipping platform. This policy explains what information we collect from Tippers (fans who tip) and Performers (bands, DJs, and karaoke hosts), and how we use it.
2. Information we collect
From Tippers: the song requested, tip amount, and an optional display name or message shown on the live board. Payment details (card number, Apple Pay, Google Pay) are collected and processed directly by Stripe — BroadBid never sees or stores your full card number.
From Performers: account email and password, band or stage name, public page URL (handle), tagline, optional logo, curated song picks, tip amount presets, and replay cooldown settings. Payout details (bank account, debit card, tax identity) are collected and verified directly by Stripe through Stripe Express onboarding — BroadBid does not store your bank or tax information.
Automatically: standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, used for security, analytics, and improving the service.
3. How we use information
To operate the live request board: displaying song titles, tip amounts, and optional Tipper display names on the Performer’s public page and stage display in real time.
To process payments and payouts through Stripe, prevent fraud, and resolve disputes and chargebacks.
To provide Performers with earnings history, song-level tip analytics, and set history.
To communicate with Performers about their account, payouts, and important service changes. We do not sell personal information, and we do not send marketing email to Tippers.
4. What is public
A Performer’s public page (broadbid.com/b/your-handle) is visible to anyone with the link or QR code. It shows the Performer’s name, tagline, logo, curated picks, the live request board, and recent tips (song, amount, and any display name the Tipper provided).
Tippers should avoid putting personal information in display names or messages, since these appear on public and stage displays.
5. Third-party processors
Stripe: payment processing, identity verification, and payouts for Performers. Stripe’s use of your information is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
Spotify: song search and metadata (titles, artists, album art). Search queries are sent to Spotify to return matching songs; no personal information is included.
Hosting and database infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
6. Data retention
We retain tip and earnings records for as long as a Performer account is active and as needed afterward for tax, accounting, dispute, and legal purposes. Performers may request account deletion by contacting support; deletion removes the public page and account access, but we may retain transaction records as required by law and our payment processors.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS), row-level access controls on our database, and server-side payment verification via Stripe webhooks. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and never store card or bank details on our servers.
8. Your rights and choices
Performers can update their identity, picks, tip presets, and payout connection at any time from the dashboard. To access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, contact support@broadbid.com.
Depending on your state or country, you may have additional rights (such as access, portability, or deletion). We honor applicable requests regardless of location.
9. Children
BroadBid is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Tips must be made by someone authorized to use the payment method.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Questions: BroadBid — Nashville, TN, United States — support@broadbid.com.
